Where to visit in europe?

Me and my mates are experts at this and we go away once or twice a year for a long weekend of drink........

So highly recommend all of the following and miles cheaper than Prague:

Tallinn, Estonia

Lovely cheap prot, great even in winter (-28C though ) and cheap. We had an appartment each for £38 per night.

Budapest, Hungary

Lively capital city and cheap than Prague (and just as pretty IMO)

Ljubljana, Slovenia

Europes smallest captial city, every woman beautiful

Bratislava, Slovakia

Can't remember much of this one but enjoyed it ;)

Krakow, Poland.

Has the claim to fame of more pubs per square metre than anywhere in Europe (yep including Ibiza) even though the first pub only opened in 1980.

Amazing how expensive Prague has got even in the none tourist areas. First time in Prague in 2003 away from the tourist areas, 5 pints of Stella cost us 85 pence - in total :D. Last time we went a couple of years ago the cheapest we could find was about £1 per pint.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

We did find some £1 a pint places in Prague, others were the same as the UK, one place charged £5 for a red bull.

I'll look up those places Greebo

mr x plosion you were completely ripped off, i'd really like to know which bars were charging you those prices please?

I'm going for my 4th visit to Prague on Sunday, the place is amazing and cheap enough even at todays exchange rate if you know the right places.

love the british people trying to get away from this country at any give chance. its just an observation since i came here, no offence :) .

Bratislava, Slovakia

Absolutley LOVED it. Seriously, the women there are hawt, and the place is SOOO nice, and NOPE, nothing that resembles 'The Hostel'. I stayed at the Hostel Blues, was ACEY!!! Next to Tesco's as well, so could grab cheap meals with its 3 cafes/restraunts.

GO! GO! GO!

Not as cheap as it used to be. Always cheaper if u stay away from the tourist bars

For example, we had drinks in a tourist bar at £2.50 per pint, went 100 yards down an alley and got drinks for £1 per pint.

But in general, Prague is one of the dearest european places I have been to in the last 7 years with the exception of Amsterdam and Brussels. And trust I have been to a lot.

You could still get a pint for 40p in Tallin which you can;t do in Prague anymore.

Okay, Prague is still cheaper than the uk but there are better places.

Its economics. Our last trip abroad cost as follows:

Flights £29 inc taxes
Hotel: £114 for 3 nights for a 2 story apartement each with lounge and kitchen.
Drinks: £20 - £30 per day and thats drinking non stop from 11am to 4/5am the following morning and alos includes food

Total cost for 4 days on the **** was about £260. You can't go to your local in the uk and do that including food.

That's why it cheaper to go abroad. Different scenery, beautiful women etc.

Going away in the uk is just too expensive.

I've heard Reykjavik is a cheap place to go now after the Icelandic currency is next to worthless, but I'm worried the locals won't be as friendly as they are renouned for. Some amazing scenery to see in Iceland.
