***Official Wrath of the Lich King Thread***(Contains spoilers)***

I was one of the first people on my server to get to northrend, but I didn't know what was wrong with deathknight creation so didn't get one until about midnight. So far I've taken 3 of my 70s to northrend but I can't decide who I actually want to level :(.
 
Just got in from work and installing, can't wait to try it out, picked a copy up just after midnight at the local supermarket - there were a few people buying it too, nothing like the turn out for GTA4 (thankfully), just need to get my mage up to 70! :)
 
Hey guys here's a video of my Unholy DK grinding when I was 60, just to show people Unholy spec on Live realms. Loving the class and really like the Blood Elf animations, a lot of fun.


I didn't mean to leave in the music but I had fraps on while listening to it, didn't think it would also get recorded.

Also, kudos to anyone who catches the Scorpion sound effect. ;) :D

UI was a bit cocked up in the video too, fixed it earlier.

Got a spot of luck for Lich King, bunch of people from pre-tbc I played with made a new guild and I got to join as DK, will be raiding in a few weeks. Good stuff. :)
 
well i should be picking up my CE later after work.

still not decided on whcih starting zone ! guess i need to see which would provide the best quest rewards perhaps for a horde feral druid.....
 
Just a quick question here. I have TBC and im only at level 40 at the moment. Would it be worth getting the new expension now or wait until im a higher level so i can see the new content? Being only level 40, would i actually see any benefits right away if i bought it now?

been playing since 11pm 73 atm, one DK in my guild is 67 atm, hes proper hardcore!

dot intend to sleep till early hours of saturday!


so so much fun coffee and red bull will probably be the cause of my death tho!

You wont, the new zones are like 70+ so that's beyond TBC level (60->70)

get 60 first you still might give up and so waste money buying WOTLK!
 
Well mine didn't turn up yesterday :(

So i went BT at 7 with the guild.. Quick 2 hour clear before people left to go get WOTLK... I ended up ordering one online and had the key within 30mins :P Just waiting for it to finish downloading... Dam its slow...


BTW finally got my sheild from Illidan :P Sooo happy last run and it dropps! i'm completely ready for Naxx now :) Just to level....


Is anyone on Slyvanas Alliance and fancy leveling/Instances... I'm leveling as prot to will tank anything :)?

67?!?!? I logged in around 7 this morning and the highest i saw was 1 level 73 in Northrend and 2 level 64 dk's in Terrokar

I'm without the game as the Tesco near me when i went in before work didnt even have the shelves changed to display the game. And it was too much effort to go to game before work today. If i finish work early I will try and pick it up from town if not it will be the weekend
 
Does anyone know if refer-a-friend level grants works with DK? Wanting to get my better half to make a DK then grant my 23 paladin up a lot of levels...hope it works!
 
it should work with a death knight but, remember it stops working at lvl 60. A deathknight will noly be able to grant 2 levels tho. As its the levels u actually level up that u r able to give (divided by 2) and not the level you are divided by 2.

Aw :( I was hoping it would be able to grant up as if she'd leveled up to 55 herself. Shame..
 
I like how it's a DVD instead of 10 discs for once and you don't have to install the original WoW/BC beforehand, should save a good 45mins of installing/patching should you want to re-install it in the future!

if you make a dk do you "lose" your other char? Hearing mixed things about this and want confirmation?

So if i lvl my mage to whatever, make a dk I then have 2 chars on that server?
