Hi all

I am looking to do a budget upgrade to the tune of £200, the budget isn't really stretchable as i will have just come back from honeymoon and have just got first house.

Already have a Freezer 7, 550w Zalman heatpipe PSU, Gigabyte Aurora and a Gecube 3850 XturboII to go in.

I am currently looking at:

Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L Intel P43 Motherboard £72.84

Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 - £64.61

2GB OCZ Platinum 6400 - £23.44

Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500gb - £45.81

Total - £206.75 inc. vat

only thing i am sceptical about is the Mobo, i am still half tempted to pick up a cheap P31 DS3 still which i have found for £43....that would knock the total down to around £177 inc. vat

Anyone think of any better combo's?

Cheers

Ben

fair play

i had considered that tbh, but was weighing up my options on the new market.

2nd hand what you lads reckon i could maybe pick up for my budget, obviously not expecting quad core etc...

Actually there's little on there at the moment. best thing is to keep checking eery few hours.

I would certainly look out for 4gb of ram, even if you buy the rest new.

cool. sounds like a good plan

every P31 DS3 on earth seems to be disapearing at the moment as Custom PC are bigging them up 24/7 as being THE budget OC board. so wanna try and grab one whilst i still can.

But i will keep my eyes peeled on the boards, they have saved my bacon before :)

Btw - your charger is truelly awesome :)
