I am looking for an apartment atm and found a suitable one on gumtree. I replied to the ad and received the following reply:
I've never rented an apartment before so I dont know what normally happens. Is this lady just very polite and not very good at spelling or is she trying to trick me? I can't really see how she would trick any money out of me but it seems strange that he would DHL me the keys to an apartment.
Advice?
It has been a hard time trying to get a nice, honest and resposible person for
the lovely apartment. It was formally occupied by my husband
before he left for his present location for his final project with Globalcom
NIG which will last him 3 years before he will return.
All documents and keys are with him and he is ready to bargain on the price if
he is ok with you taking the apartment over. The apartment has an up dated
living room,a fully quipped kitchen a toilet and a bedroom.The washer,dryer and
security is in tact and will be ok for any modern living environment and well
furnished. Here is the address (19 ****,****, UK ) The apartment is
offered in excellent condition with a modern, contemporary style. Only a few
minutes walk from ****'s smartest suberb offering an excellent range of
boutique shops and restaurants and close to public transport for easy access to
the City centre.
600 pounds is the rent fee per month and if you feel this is ok by you reply
back so that I know what should be done next. He can send you the keys and
document at any time via DHL for faster delivery to you so you can go and have
a look at the apartment.
Thank You
Mrs. X
