Have you still got it plugged in when searching for your music??... its like a Sony Ericsson phone when its plugged in you can't browse to the storage card from within the phone!.. you need to unplug it and then it should find the 'Storage Card' drive.
I immediatly flashed to a non operator firmware, these basicaly remove all the operator crap software and put back the original Samsung stuff.. including Googlemaps!... plus it makes to battery life sooooo much longer!!.. mine went from 1 day (ish) to 4-5 days on standby (and thats with Bluetooth on!!)![]()
go back a couple of pages (about page 47 I think) for a guide (by me) on how to flash to the latest (stable) firmware and where to get it from (by Dangerous)...![]()
I realised this after I unplugged it and tried it again!! Many thanks!
EDIT: The only problem now is that the phone doesn't accept .m4a files (which 90% of my music is!) so I think I'm gonna have to convert a load!!
The only problem with this is that I am on a Vista PC with no access to XP... I would love to flash it to get rid of the operator stuff (even though there isn't that much) but cannot see a way round it with Vista.
I am positive I saw a new upgrader for Windows Vista..not just XP anymore...will have to try and find the link!
edit according to this:
http://www.samsungmobile.com/promotion/omnia/fr/sub02_xp.jsp#
It does say XP updater however:
"- This Samsung OMNIA OS update file was customized for your Samsung OMNIA phone and operator.
The file may not properly work on other Samsung OMNIA phones.
- PC Requirements : Microsoft® Windows® 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista™"![]()
mine is unlocked.Does flashing to a non-operator firmware also unlock your phone for other network's sim cards?
you think reboot it and start the rom again ?
edit.: i just restarted it and its loading past the point it stuck on .. phew
I bet you were making buttons on your seat when you re-booted!!...
Hey guys, I am currently on HH3, do you rekon it would be worth me going to HI3? My battery doesn't last longer than 24 hrs. I leave bluetooth on and that connects to my car kit for approx 1 hr a day. I have everything else switched off.
By the sounds of it I should be getting better battery life than this?
