You dont need to on a Mac, Disk in the drive is enough.

The authentication/patch thread over at SI is a big mess of people complaining about steam and activation over and over again. I'm almost pleased that my copy didn't come today so that I can avoid the rush of activations

I saw a thread someone at SI made showing an example code and I still couldn't tell the Os and 0s apart.
I think SI have tried to be clever and more customer-friendly but have cocked up. I wonder why no-one from SI/Sega noticed the Os and 0s similarity and queried people's abilities to differentiate between them.Yes looks good but in doing so looks quite bad as well.
Yeah, separate issues.
The two complaints are people not being able to activate games bought and downloaded over steam (it might be different for varying countries based on time zones etc, not sure I haven't bothered reading the whole thread. It's long
), and the other is people who bought hard copies not being able to tell the difference between Os and 0s (so unlucky if your code has lots of Os and 0s in it!).

Downloaded from steam, but cannot activate the game because it says I don't have an internet connection(when I do) and the phone line for activation is too busy.
