Left 4 Dead demo available

lol i have not played the game for more than 20 seconds before it crashes.
sometimes to windows, sometimes whole pc goes down, neither has any kind of error message.
currently trawling through internet sites and attempting fixes

Again, whats your system, what graphics drivers are you using, do you have the latest DirectX installed (I believe there was one for November this year released?) What O/S what service packs?
Any further out of context and we'd be looking at an Excession
I can't play the demo, that's the point, Its unlikely I will have the opportunity to do so in the next week, learn to read
You have the time to add to the thread saying you have no time to play the demo, but also say you have no time to play the demo

Why are people complaining about the demo? its a demo, it took me about 30 minutes to complete it first time round.. there i have played the demo, i have gotten a good idea of what the game is like... 5 days left to twiddle my thumbs

Play it on-line or something, it can be amusing sometimes.

), with which I immediately turned, legged it shouting some obscene language, and let her kill one of my other team members

I've only seen the witch once, and the tank plenty of times. They are both sods, but i somehow managed to survive the witch on expert... But it was so well done and i didn't even know there was a witch in the game so when i shone the flashlight at her inocently i was in for a suprise... i also squeeled like a pig.
I managed to fix the crashing by using that command and also lowering my graphics card to just below standard speeds. I'll try bumping my card back up to the normal speed I use so I know which change actually worked. I hope it's your tip though!

Anyone got any advice for taking down Tanks on expert?
They are fast, massively powerful, and can throw blocks at your which defy physics and don't miss

Im having problems playing the demo.
When i join a server i play the first level through fine. Then we get to the safe room and it loads the next level and the problem begins. Im there and i can chat to people but i get a connection problem message every say 10 seconds. Anyone know how to fix this ?

system in sig, just put 8.11's on, will try DirectX now (cheers) and its up to date xp 32bit
