But sadly, I can only review 4/5ths of the film due to the cinema not having reel 3....

Which kinda makes showing the film pointless. You would have thought that people would notice if when loading up the reels the order they have is reel 1, reel 2, reel 4, reel 5, reel 6? Evidently not!

Still, what I saw of it I enjoyed... I can see why the MPAA wanted to make it a NC17 rated film just for one half second shot - but I'm glad they didn't as I don't think it passes any boundaries we haven't seen in the American Pie films or things like that.

Script is funny, acting is so-so from Seth and ok from Elizabeth *who has one of the most gorgeous smiles I've seen for a long time*. Mewes is funny as always *and I've now seen more of Mewes than I've ever wanted to...* and the addition of Traci Lords and Katie Morgan to the cast was great.

Sadly, can't talk to much about the plot...most of the important stuff seems to be in reel 3... Gaaah! But essentially, Zack and Miri have been friends for many year, live together, both really skint, decide to make a porn film to make money to pay for, well, everything.

So, what I saw was very good - I'd recommend it... as long as you get to see the whole film!

I'm reallyu looking foward to this, was meant to see it tonight but my "Kevin Smith film buddy" got locked out of his house :( Probably watch sometime tomorrow

Heh, every now and again these sorts of things happen. I remember paying £12 to go see a live satelite stream of "The Secret Policeman's Ball" for Amnesty International a while back. Stream didn't work. Satelite crashed into orbit or something.

Predictable film but still entertaining (goes on past the credits but you don't really miss that much)

He felt a bit wooden but the rest of the cast were spot on.

It was paint by numbers type of film and I quite enjoyed it - nothing remotely memorable (except for the 'dont talk to me about ****' scene :D) or that funny, but nothing that wrong with it either. Just another simple American humoured film - started off very very cringeworthy but once you worked out the 2d characters you kind of jump on the bandwagon...

Elizabeth Banks is lovely and damn she reminds me of Elizabeth Shue - Jason 'Jay' Mewes was a good laugh too. Loved the retro soundtrack too...

Star it fellas ;)

The film had to have been made up by idiots if they failed to spot they were missing a reel :P

Each reel of film comes in a numbered case with what film it is (and various other things). The film reel its self also has a header and footer with further information confirming the film name, print number, and reel number (and technical information). The person that was making up must have been half-asleep, new or they were playing reel to reel and failed to check they had everything before they started!

Wait... what happenes after the credits? :o

I really enjoyed it. I'm loving Seth Rogen at the moment, he hasn't been in a bad film. It was typical Kevin Smith directing though. Not a bad thing. Would be nice of him to try something new but, i suppose why fix what isn't broken.

SPOILER

Just an ad for their new business which is to help other couples make pornos...

Probably was a few mins long...

kevin smith perfection

he can make the most touching moments out of the oddest things. the sex scene between zack and miri and THAT song is overwhelmingly superb.

he injects belly laughs with intense compassion and a plots which are oddly compulsive.
