I don't understand. What do you do with the water? I'm serious. I only use water to rinse the brush when I've finished.

I add a dash of water to the toothpaste before I stick it in my mush.

Although, i'm sure there was a thread similar if not the same to this a while ago and someone mentioned bacteria being in the warm water, so cold was better.

Thats what you are supposed to do, according to my dentist, water should only be used for cleaning the toothbrush afterwards.

No, I brush with a toothbrush, spit out the resulting toothpaste/saliva, floss and then rinse my mouth with mouthwash. I only use water (hot) to clean the brush. I must be a freak.

Im pretty sure idea of warm water sitting in a dark tank for a while stagnant puts me off using the hot tap for anything that involves my mouth.

cold pipes join to the main cold pipes in the street. Not a tank in the loft, usually uncovered. Unless you have an on demand boiler then it's different.
