Which of these cars would you chose and why?

Air conditioning-cooled glovebox

Is this incase you need to transport some cheese so you can stick it in the glovebox and put the aircon on the coldest setting?

This is a great feature in the summer.

Mine can take a warm can of Pepsi Max and make it too cold to drink in about 20 mins.

Ok...

Today was test drive day.

I don't like any of them apart from the VW's lol.

I am going to get another Golf I think.

All of the other cars just feel cheap and un-responsive (steering not acceleration) I couldn't stop comparing them to VW's and none of them cut it.

Would a Leon feel the same as a Golf? Or would it FEEL like a cheaper version?

Thanks,

G

That's odd. I actually think that the Focus has a much better interior and is better to drive, principally because it has heavier steering. The steering in the Golf is just too light. Nevertheless, if you like the Golf then go for it, it's a very good car.

The Leon actually shares the same platform as the Golf, so I imagine will feel very similar to drive. I can't comment on quality though as I haven't driven one.

That list is not exhaustive, For the Golf I'll source a 1.9tdi or a 2.3 V5 possibly (but probably the TDI)

Do you have any idea what you are looking at? Why would you source either a 1.9TDI or a 2.3 V5? They are totally different. The sort of person willing to put up with a 1.9 TDI would not entertain a 2.3 V5.

lol I don't know. All I know is there are a few of each about. I'm used to a TDI or a V6, I don't really want another V6 because they are VERY thirsty, I've not tried a V5 but figured it's between a 1.9tdi and a 2.8V6?

Please enlighten me :)

You realise that the Mk5 Golf isn't available with either the 2.3L or 2.8L V6? Furthermore, the (Mk4) V5 is still a V6 despite the name.

The 2.3 V5 is pretty thirsty as well. The TDI will be very economical but also very noisy, clattery and annoying.

I've found this:

http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-u...de=HP156NP&channel=CARS&make=VOLKSWAGEN&model

But I phoned up and the guy said it only has one Key, should I be concerned about this?? He also said he can only accept cash as their card machines arent working and they don't take cheques. It's in Birmingham so it would mean an hour and a half train ride to get there. Also why would they blank out the number plate?

The courtesy car has just been picked up so I need to sort something ASAP.

I can't see anything mate.

What a bloody horrible car, why would you want to buy that? I mean, just LOOK at it. It's just a heap of generic diesel car, and to make things even better wow its got CEAT tyres on it. Stunning.

If you just want to get from A to B and thats it why spend 6k.

They replaced the awful 1.9 TDI in the Mk5 Golf with the 2.0, the 1.9 was retained only for real cheapskates. Which its clear the original owner of that was.
