This is good.

b) No release date
c) No product specifications
d) No nothing bar a few inquirer articles
Yet you are lecturing us on sensible graphics card purchasing?![]()
So its very low risk.
Indeed,
I don't need a card right now.I'm not gaming.
So I'm sitting pretty. Why have a top end card in my PC thats not going to be used for at least 6-8 weeks.
I have ditched my 4870 at the right time. I want my Home cinema finished by Christmas so all my energies are going into that.
I'll see whats about then.
I almost agree with you here.
In 6-8 weeks you'll either feel really smug with your new 4970, OR you'll feel really smug because you bought an awesome system for less than you sold this one for.

)

Thats despicable !
Really gets on my marbles and man boobies when I see people selling Q6600s for £120 and am like its £120 on ocuk brand new... having said that I cant say too much cos I got one from MM for £50 a few months ago lol
And £40-50 imo is a good normal price for it since its used/overclocked or what not been done too it.
Whenever I have 2nd hand/used goods and if there's few months warranty on it I price it 50-60% of the price, not brand new price ! Same should apply to all 2nd hand/used hardware imo we shouldn't be just knocking off £10-20 off it, if its a 4850 and we all know u can have it for £100-110 brand new should be £70-80 imo.
Just my views on it anyhow, not like its gonna stop people selling there old/2nd hand used goods for brand new prices on MM or anything![]()
Someone else's willingness to pay £x is not my problem, I don't seek to give away anything I want to sell either.
My point was to highlight what easy talks about, if you sell things at the right time you can minimise depreciation, or even not have any. Q6600 B3 to G0 was the same as well, I sold the B3 for £5 more than I paid for a G0.
i got a x1900xt just a month beforei like your logic. this how nvidia and ati think and then rip our a**** off.
