Firstly I'm a complete amateur and secondly this is really the first time I've had the chance to play with my D300 - I'm a bit peeved as I should have had the Aperture at a higher F no for these landscapes - but that's one lesson learnt. Anyway these shots were taken off Krabi for some reason I got rather fascinated by the sky! Haven't processed at all just resized them so compression may have ruined them slightly! (How do you upload piccies without compression?!)

Please offer your C&C's

Very nice, a little dark some of them but you can play around in photoshop to bring them out a bit more.

For some reason I quite like number 5. The water blurring onto the rocks is nice :)

Yes defo agree with that! One thing I'm sruggling is with metering I think - I just leave on Matrix most of time and hope it calcs right for the whole frame in question. lol

and some Light trails - didn't have my tripod here so taking these was a nightmare given exposures were a few seconds! The last one is my favourate!

Anyone travelling to Bangkok - a word of warning the traffic is terrible and the drivers are nutters! Especially in their Tuk Tuks!

The best shots from this set are from 7 onwards imo but i think a lot of the shots are suffereing from too large an aperture. a lot of the landscape pics have things which are OOF and i find it is a little distracting. Not sure if you had a tripod at hand??
They do need processing but I know you haven't done them yet but please do post/update them when you do :)
Thanks for posting :)

Yup agree with your points, I don't even no why I didn't go for something like F20 for the landscape pics but it just slipped my mind :( all part of learning too! Didn't have the tripod with me for these apart from the Cityscape shots where I was going for around a 4sec Exposure. My lenses aren't VR or IS so I'm always going to sruggle when handholding! Still learnt a lot and I'm pleased with that!

Will defo do some processing but for now have to start back at work :(

Tell me about it, even the ones on mopeds/bikes: Sow an accident happen & the chap on the bike just got up, dusted himself & went on like nothing had happened  But the SkyTrain was near the hotel & better to use (got tired of being asked if I want to buy a suit/jewelery/etc by drivers ).

Anyway, here's a panoramic I took from hotel room. Camera is a PowerShot A720 IS.
