That's such elitist rubbish. The people who "suck" paid for the game just like you did, who the hell are you to say that they shouldn't experience new content just because you don't think they know what to do?
I agree with Revolution, with every other class you are fed new spells slowly, so get a lot of time to try things out. With a death knight, everything is already there, which means people will obviously take a while trying different spell and rotations.
I don't know the best way for me to play a death knight, but I really don't care. I wanted to see the new content, not to sit working out which spells to use when. I think it's great that everyone wants to see the new starting area, because it's a pretty cool experience.
Excuse me, if you want to disagree with something don't insult it first by calling it "elitist rubbish"
My statement was obviously coming from someone who is raiding. I have 3 people in my guild who are completely terrible with the class, don't understand a thing about it and then expect us to raid with them as their new class.
I am a senior officer, and need to bring people in to Naxx, and other raids that can use their class. I had a guy who is a great player (really good) who uses a paladin, and was leveling a DK with me, said he prefers his paladin because of bubble anda few other things and switched. Try it, fine. If you suck though, they almost expect the class to be over powered, and hitting 1111111111 will be fine.
The class is obviously more complex than other classes, and if someone wants to try it out for fun go ahead. But I don't like how people jump to it because they consider it over powered, and then afterwards expect to auto have a raid spot, because they think ditching their old class (a healer or whatever) is ok to play something they can't use, don't level their old main past a level a 2 after all this time, yet find the time to have their DK at 62.
*edit*
Further more, compared to a mage who *can* get away with spamming a few buttons, or a hunter who can get away with a 1 button macro, the DK is a lot harder.
Icy Touch, Plague Strike, Spread Diseases, possibly use D&D, *insert strike of your spec a few times* keep diseases up, rune strike if parried/miss and so on. Minion control, watching runes and runic power. Even switching presence to help grab stuff from clothies, and tons of other stuff besides. It is a harder than a warlock hitting 1 button like in the old days of the 0/21/40 build.
Even positioning, because you need to get close to the boss, even a basic boss in Karazhan like prince was very hard for melee to begin with, even skilled players fell over on occasion. (we had just started Karazhan like raiding at the time, so...) Some people just are not able to use a certain class well, they can like it, try it and enjoy it. But expecting to be invited in to raiding guilds when they can't play melee / don't know their class is annoying.
