You're going to be seeing this picture circulated a lot in the coming days, so we just wanted to get out in front of it for you. Yes, the above image, which hints at new Battletoads and Jet Force Gemini games, can be found in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. But no, you should absolutely not take that to mean that any of those games are actually coming. It says as much in the image itself, but that won't stop the internet from crushing itself under the weight of its own excitement.

As recently as today, Rare talked about how what it's working on is going to surprise people and we're not sure that points to a lot of their franchises being revived.

... We can still hope though, right?

C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!!!

i hope so! though i don't think it will really compete with any of todays beat em ups, i'd still buy it lol! :D

i also felt this vid was neccesary lol

They've been in overdrive with this KI thing recently, if they're trying to draw attention to themselves for a new IP reveal, then there's better ways to do it.
It's all very cloak and dagger, I'm not really sure what to make of it.

Hah I used to really enjoy KI, I used to love trying to get the crazy high combos.

Thunder was my favourite.

Didn't KI have a 102 hit combo for one of the characters or am I dreaming?

Arcade version of KI-2 / Gold or whatever it was called had at least 70+ hit combo's for every character, iirc it was that ninja guy who could pull off 100+ combo? :)

Oh yes :)

I'd love a new Jet Force Gemini, although I doubt today's Rare could give us anything nearly as great. They still get the visuals right, but the charm and gameplay has gone walkies.

Viva/Banjo/Kameo are all fantastic 360 games im sure they could pull off another Jet Force Gemini with fantastic gameplay/visuals.

Hit the nail on the head tbh. Rare still make superbly polished games with great sounds and visuals. The games just don't feel special anymore :/

After playing the new banjo game. Then playing the original afterwards you can see it clear as day.
