gtx280 or 260

Should I get a standard GTX280 for £250 = CS 602mhz / MCS 2214mhz - Cores 240

or a

GTX260 max core ocx for £216??? = = CS 630mhz / MCS 2300mhz - Cores 216


Cant make my mind up….

I doubt for £216 inc VAT that its a Maxcore OCX, it will be the Maxcore OC.

In which case get the 280.

If you can get a 280GTX for £250 (or preferably under) all in then go for it, otherwise go for the 260-216. They simply aren't worth more than £240-250 tops.

Agreed. I haven't seen a sub £250 280 for a while. If you do then get it. Otherwise get the 260 (216).

Cheapest 280 is £320
and the overclocked 216 core 260s are about £250.

A quick look in some big online retailers should find the GTX260 216 for those prices. OCUK offer some great prices and service but sometimes you are going to find stuff cheaper elsewhere.

i got ym 280 at £240 + 5 quid postage in an auction, brand new factory sealed from XFX...came next day which was a saturday AND i live in the wilderness! i rarely get next day postage and to recieve it on a saturday from royal fail....something must ahve changed, maybe they have overclocked their service inr eady for christmas XD

Read the ops prices hes not talking about £100 difference only £34. For those prices get the gtx280.

Well I took the plunge and got a gtx280 gainward card £240 delivered from an auction site boxed & sealed. Just have to wait and see if it turns up now.
