Got the following TV Panasonic Plasma TH-37PX80B Superb set and looks mint.

Only slight downside is the sound and bass is virtually nonexistent.

Is it okay to use my Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1 Speakers connected to the Red and White Audio out on the back of the TV.

The manual says the audio out should be used to connect to an amplifier. Can’t afford a proper sound system at the moment.

Thanks Dutch

The audio out will only ouput the signal for an amplifier to amplify and drive speakers. The signal itself will not suffice to drive any speakers I would think. Why not try to find a second hand integrated amplifier to improve your sound;)

left and right out of the tele, into the 2.1 as left and right, amplified and sent to left and right. should be fine.

might need a jack in on the 2.1's though or do they take standard phono/rca?

OK hooked it up and yes sounds excellent - they take standard phono/rca

Very Pleased :) it will more than do till can afford something better after xmas.

Thanks for the advice

Dutch
