I wanted to play GTA 3 again, and i cant find my copy! :(

so i had a look around, and i just bought GTA 3 Vice City for £2 inc P&P !
BARGIN?

I cant wait to play these again, not played any others apart from 1 and 2

fix it by changing the compatibility to win98. with the windows compatibility thing you get when you click gta3.exe>properties>compatibility should help...

I installed both GTAIII and Vice City on my EeePC 900 this morning and I can't beleive how smooth they run... didn't think that it would handle them as it only has a 900Mhz CPU

?? The PS2 has a 300MHz processor and a mighty 4MB RAM and that runs them...

I know but console architecture is very different to that of a PC and thus you normally need a lot higher specs on PC to run the same games.

I know but i was pointing out it shouldn't be surprising that an Eee can run this old game. I mean, even my phone can run Open GL 3D games at 800x480 @ 20FPS+ that almost match PSP level of graphics, and PSP aint far off from PS2.

Well when you look at the recommended system specs for Vice City you will see that my EeePC is probably on the edge of being acceptible...
