Gatchaman, the people dressed as birds with spaceship etc and astroboy, cg, are due within the next year or so so obviously the US has lost all creativity

Well some of the cast isn't bad in dragonball chow yun fat and james masters aren't exactly bad actors and atleast theres something nice to look at in emmy rossum.

I was obsessed with Dragonball when I was younger. Its perfect money-raking material from young teenage boys around the world. Power level readers, energy power blasts, tranformations, epic fights that can destroy the planet, etc... its pure gold.

However a live action movie will fail majorly ...it works for an animation and because its Japanese, but to actually get overly dramatic actors to go through the motions and screams and cheesy dialog... I cringe just thinking of it.

Thought it was meant to be the original Dragonball where Goku is a boy(?) rather than Dragonball Z onwards. Which in my opinion, is a mistake.

Everything about it is a fail. Even Master Roshi (Cho Yan Fat) is a fail - miserable attempt at bringing orients to the film where the main cast are "hollywood".

Looking at those screenshots, it gives me pain. It must be how it feels when Bollywood copied elements of The Matrix and cast them with all Indians and the odd Caucasian.
