Text message of Baby P killers

True, but still.

And does (sp?) mean, I keep seeing it =/

(sp?) - poster is unsure of spelling

I think the media attention on this one is actually good. things havent been done since the last time something like this happened in the some borough. that is clearly not good.

Ah ok, thanks for clearing that, knew it would be something obviously.

It's good somethings being done about it, but it should have been done decades ago.

This whole story is hugely annoying, which is quite sad as it's a terrible case but the way the media has hyping it up and everyone has gone 'Baby P' crazy is frankly ridiculous, especially as it happened well over a year ago.

It's like the Maddy thing, its cool to ball over 'Baby P'.

It's only gaining such huge publicity because of the circumstances and gross negligence by the local authorities who should have saved the child from abuse on multiple occasions.

With this though, there have been plenty of incidences when children have been taken away from families that weren't abusing them.

Basically one story (no source) involved a baby/really young kid with weak bones that kept snapping. Social services just assumed the parents kept snapping his bones and took him away into godawful childcare.

Parents had to fight to keep their remaining children apparently and were no doubt detressed, had to deal with public opinion, etc. Eventually, it was found to be a medical thing. This is just a story from my mum who works in social services (not as a care worker though).

This Baby P thing is one incident. It cannot ever be used to suggest that social services around the country should be more cavalier in the future. And this is or will be the main thing to come out of all of this. Children getting dumped into care homes left, right & centre.

Sick of it. Sick of the general public. Sick of their dumb, baying mob retardedness.

I agree. What if a name on the SMS is Bob Smith and there happens to be some nearby or the details are wrong...

Remember the paedophile vigilante mobs of a few years ago....

Exactly.

I vote for automated sentry guns to be mounted around the Haringate (sp?)council building and everyone with protest signs gets shot on site.

Yawn what? The fact that vigilantism is illegal and the fact that criminal penalties are so lax is basically a mandate to commit any crimes you want without fear of repercussion :/

I'm normally the last person who would get on board a bandwagon like this but the fact is in this case the ineptitude of Haringate social services was beyond belief.
