Dropping like flies, Walcott now out, injured in training

Well, of course, considering he's done it before, and mashed his shoulder yet again recently, and was, of course, rushed back into action without time to fully recover, just enough time for the pain to leave what the hell did you expect.

Screw Wenger, thats it, this is completely ridiculous, player after player after player rushed back in without truly recovering. Considering his form, compared to Ramsey and Wilshire who look better and the fact that they are uninjured and fully ready for a try there was no need to rush Walcott back in.

This is the 3rd time he's hurt the shoulder, and it still didn't cross Wengers mind to drop him and find some competant medical staff to get a real opinion from.

I'm sorry but, his previously injured shoulder, which he hurt from a simple drop to the floor in the Stoke game, and again popped out from another simple fall, how on earth can't they get someone who could realise its an issue and he should not have been training yet.

Arsenal's medical team is beyond a joke. He shouldn't have played since that last game and he shouldn't have been risked for even training till his shoulder is healed fully, which it clearly isn't. He missed what 3-4 months the season before last with this injury and took absurdly long to recover from that op. Diet, rehab, doctor they use, something is simply wrong with the setup.

It seems it was a straight forward dislocation on a different shoulder. so he will probably be back sooner than what's stated in the O.P.'s link. It wasn't on the left side which is where he eventually required an operation.

I'm used to around 4 or 5 of players returning injured after every international fixture, but normally it's after they've played. Theo didn't even make it on the pitch! Oh god, are we going to have to pull a Middlesborough this weekend? Or play the U9's?

He's actually injured unlikely the others.

This.

drunkenmaster with more blame Wenger postings. How on earth an injury whilst training has anything todo with playing.

Walcott has hereditary shoulder injury that will ALWAYS effect him. He can't straighten his arm. He's been operated on.

lets see, Wenger can say, "you shouldn't be training with that dodgey unhealed shoulder", at which point I daresay he'd find it hard to get injured, while training......... if he wasn't training.

Lets keep getting injuries and keep sending them to doctors who can't fix them, play them injured and watch them get injured even worse, surely thats a good idea. Not once in I think 5 years now of just ridiculous levels of injuries at the club has anyone in charge, Wenger, anyone on the board, anyone at all said, lets change up the staff because someone is completely incompetant. trying to think of someone who Wenger classes as first team who hasn't missed a game injured this year......... , last year..............., year before..........

nope, thats just not normal, I mean it really isn't.

This.

Considering the BBC state that it took another player a month to recover from a similar injury (which seems reasonable, and imo laymens terms too short for a repeated injury) Im not sure how you can expect him back before the middle of Dec really - he is a great player and I hope he gets back asap but I some how doubt he will play much before Xmas

Stephen Pearson - the Derby player mentioned - wasnt a repeated shoulder injury was it, doesnt say here or there in the article , but kinda indicates it was a one off injury, why would this be any less time away from the 1st team?

Doesnt necessarily cause problems to both shoulders - as stated this is the opposite one to which he has always had issues with.....

You can break your leg in different places and have varying amount of time off/out. The article doesn't say, but I was trying to remain optimistic. ;) Though admittidly I'm leafing through old journals here and I'd say he won't be back until late Dec/early Jan. :(

See above.

The boy really has to learn how to fall over. I know easier said than done at the pace the game is played at by maybe a sort of roly poly that soldiers use? I don't know..

It is quite worrying that this happened in training and at what would be assumed to be a slower pace.

Edit - oh dear, after Theo said this as well.

It's just a real shame we don't have the strength in other players to drop these gimps once and for all. No doubt a few of them are injured sometimes, but how often do we see these bigger names get pulled out for 7 days.

You certainly won't see a Manu player playing an England friendly while they are not top of the league.

What should happen is if a player comes in and shines they get the position for the next game. I'd rather we didn't qualify using that system than just have the big players turn up for the qualifying games and then get beat anyway in the finals because the team never plays long enough together to gel.

.

I totally realise this - not only because I have just recovered from a pretty lengthy back operation which started as something minor lol

All I meant was that a month out (which is what the original article said) seems like a minimum Theo would be out for considering any kind of dislocation

fair do's anyway - all good discussion :)

Hope Theo recovers quickly

Michael Carrick - played 100+ games in the last two seasons for Utd, so he is definitely a 1st team player, admittedly Rio and Wayne are out, not sure how serious their injuries are (Rio seems to regularly struggle with his back so thats more likely an issue than Wayne's chest infection)

Well Walcotts only out for 3 months, well thats the initial estimate, so add on 3 reinjuries in training and being rushed back in, the follow up injury and all the mistreatment by Arsenal's incompetant staff and we'll be lucky to see him again this season.

Rosicky's 3 weeks has turned into about a year. Even Eboue who seemed to get midly injured, who was said to only be out for a game or two seems to have completely dissappeared off the face of the earth. I wonder what genius plan Wenger has, Ramsey/wilshire are the logical choice, so almost certainly not them who will play instead.Denilson on the right, Song in the centre, RVP on the right when his ban is up, Nasri with Vela on the left, any other club you could make a reasonable guess who would fill in, with Wenger you have no clue.

More drunkmaster drivel! It was his left shoulder that was injured last time, this is his right shoulder, which hasn't been injured before, how can it possibly be the fault of Arsenal's medical team, are you and dvdbunny brothers? :p

Cant you just shut the **** up!?

drunkenmaster for christ's sake shut up with your rubbish. Even I'm bored of it. It has nothing to do with him being rushed back. It was on his OTHER shoulder.
