Feel bad asking this but I need to get to the bottom of something.

Someone I know came round to my house at 7.15 this morning (I was already in work) and spoke to my girlfriend about having to deal with a crash on the M6 that involved a crane. I can't find anything on the internet, but he says a 13 year old kid died.

I suspect he is spouting rubbish, but I nee to know for certain. Anybody know of anything that involves a crane accident (that will defiantely be involved) anywhere in the North West in the last 36 hours? (since Mon morning) I need to get him sorted, as turning up at that time of the morning is bang out of order!

He works for a crane company, but we suspect he isn't...long story. He will be at one of my friends or another all day off and on from 9am and be claim to be in work that night. The only coat we see him in is for a competator, but his boss doesn't mind (!)

I have caught him a few times in lies, but basically I want to get him 1 last time and tear him a new one. He is severe ADHD, mother doesn't give a damn (house is a tip, too much alcohol for an entire rugby team, sleeping her way through the phone book), but Im turning into GD.

Nobody heard anything? Even traffic reports this morning of delays?

A while ago, but one of the kids was 13..
The above did not involve a crane of any sort.

Having asked some people at work who'd be informed enough to know, to the best of my knowledge, I think its safe to say that your "mate" is talking crap.

Had a 13 year old died, the Manchester Evening News ,for example, would have said something about it.....

I'd be asking why this supposed "mate" needs to dream up excuses to call on your girlfriend when your out at work......

I knew I could rely on the power of the internet for a result... thanks guys. As for why he is coming round, time to find out. Get your keyboards ready for a fight

He is sleeping with your gf and your gf came up with the rubbish story just incase a neighbour saw him "parking his car" at your house.

The lad hasn't showed his face again. If he does, my girlfriend/myself will tell him politely to **** off, and if he goes to another mate (whos daughters wendy house he slept in on Friday night  ) he will again be told to **** off.
