Strange, that is the correct aspect ratio and the monitor should be able to scale the image to the native resolution1680-1050 at this res the monitor wont display correctly .

j3fff, I loaded the new ATI drivers, all is well. The Dell suffers from input lag
Give Samsung a try.
I like mine.
On the Samsung website it says 'DVI with HDCP'what about the lack of hdcp on the samsung? will this affect dvd or bluray playback from a ps3?

As for recommendations I really have no idea if there is a solution that has all three connections
Usually PS3/360 are connected to a LCD television that also has the correct resolution of 720p or 1080p
I wouldn't know, I ordered one yesterday and use a 40" 1080p Sony LCD with my PS3hmmm, but the samsung has 1:1 pixel mapping right? so it should just have a few boarders.

). I do have an old analog TV card with composite in but the image quality is pretty poor when scaled up and the software is poor/buggy, do modern TV cards still have those problems? (some recomendations maybe?
)Any chance of getting a review on this badass? Thinking of buying a pair of these to replace my old 19" TFT/CRT screens (almost 2.5 years logged on the TFT, no counter on the CRT but it's probably twice that)
Couple of questions about which version OCUK stock too, does it have the normal or rotating stand, and does it have the USB hub? The manual (http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200807/20080721093612859_BN59-00760C-Eng.pdf) mentions those options but doesnt say which model(s) they apply to
Also on a semi-related question, what would be the best way to display a composite video signal on this? I was looking at the 24" dell ultrasharp since it has composite in, but the extremely high lag kills that option (not to mention the £411 price tag). You get the very nice adjustable stand...but no USB hub. i think i was one of the first to buy one.
