New Boxster & Cayman - official anouncement

Internet hard man ***, yay go Fox, watch out for hedges though.

Shut up and take your childish antics elsewhere. They're not welcome in Motors.

Back on topic.

I still can't stand the looks of the Boxster, even though it's now possible to differentiate the front end from the back end. The Cayman isn't so bad although that straight slope from the roof down to the back still annoys me for some reason. The front end looks good.

Thanks for the information skiddley. :)

will make my next buying (2ish years out) decision harder though. I am still torn between the Cayman S and an older 911. I can see the attraction of both and like the look of both. Hopefully these new models will have an effect on used prices.

LOL I kow what you mean about the back end looking like the front. They have done what Toyota did with the MR2. It just looks like a boat or something. Really flat across the top and long. eurghh.

Not quite sure on the boxer, seems a bit too strechted for my liking. The Cayman however looks ace! Soft top > Hard top, well for looks anyway.

Could be worse, could be a crap old Japanese heap of hatchback pap or whatever other junk it is you love. Now get out of the thread if you don't care but do walk out of it because we cant be bothered to wait for your 1.6 litre hatchback to lumber itself away.

Anyway..

Loving the new Boxster, Porsches plan of evolution not revolution gets way too much stick.

Owned and Boned!

More Porsche fine tuning then, will the extra power be enough to dispell the "Hairdressers" tag?

the boxter looks kind of back to front...with a stumpy nose and long arse, maybe it's just a bad picture though. Front of the Cayman looks pretty sweet, reminds me of the carrera GT a bit

As for the Porsche, seriously, who cares? It will be much the same as the old one, and an extremely small number of people on here will be buying a new Boxster and they would know this anyway, so what's the point in telling us? Also tbh, the 987S sig just annoys me, call it a Boxster.

your whinging annoys me, doesnt mean i trash your threads because of it though.

Who cares? quite a lot of people it seems.
Not many (if any) people will be buying the f430 scud, or its spider version, does that mean we shouldnt post about it?

Or what about the new mustang thread which people are saying that its no different (and comparing the designers to the lazy porsche ones), have you gone and trashed that for the same reason?

Lol...you know you can just not look at the thread.

Would one be wrong to put 911, or 997 in a sig then?

Perhaps I should put a picture in it of some turgid pile of shyate.

Personally i think the giveaway is in the sub forum name 'Motors', this is news of an updated Porsche lineup, some people own the older revision lots of us like to keep up with sports / supercar news so why wouldn't we care?

I read about this story prior to the OP posting it on OCUK but that doesn't mean other will have done the same.

So please do us all a favor and pick up your toys and scatter them someplace else.

I do, for one. My girlfriend has a 987 Boxster S and this will directly affect its value, and will lead to me recommending that she sells it sooner rather than later.

Plus its just general info on a great line up of cars, its definitely worthy of a thread.

Why don't the dons start using the powers and actually banning people who are incredibly dull and boring.

Every thread i click on now you know its going to have the original 'Thanks for the info!' post, plus other stupid comments.

Anyway, back on topic now - and keep it that way.

The new Boxter looks good :)

No it wouldnt be wrong to put 911 because that is the model number and what the car is sold as. 997 is the mark of the 911, so to just have 997 would be odd.

your car is a boxster and only those with some porsche knowledge would know that yours is a boxster, not another model of porsche. so in that respect, i think you are a bit silly to not have 'boxster' in your sig, but its your sig so who cares :]

Its a crud sig but far worse exist. Like the people with sigs containing cars they don't even own let alone ones not typed correctly :p
