You would hope so given that they know windows and it's weaknesses better than anyone else. Time will tell.Yeh more than likely but if they do offer it for free then it better be better than avg or avast.
one thing i'd like to see is a 'trusted installer' type setup certificate..
like driver signing, but app signing,
ie..
you can install any app that has been marked as 'trusted' without any extra intervention, could help prevent rogue apps being installed
