I've just got back to playing this again and i've just passed the section where you have to plant the satchels, anyone know roughly how long i've got left?

How the hell do u kill this guy.

Headshots just graze him, and even if I am lucky enough to shoot him without him shooting me back (and killing me) then he gets me the next time.

Ive shot him twice and he's still not died :S

Took me 3 hits on Vet. I think he's wearing a kevlar balaclava.

Any tips? Wherever i hide he kills me

Edit - FINALLY! Just have to shoot from a window and as you fire move out of his sight.

Was going to say, you need to move just as you fire else he nails you.

Try it again on recruit to see what a laugh it is, you can just stand there and take his shots plus it only takes 1 shot to kill him

Forgot how fustrating veteran can be.

Im at the bit just after you chose to go left or right on the Russian mission. There is a bridge with your tank crossing and loads of people in a valley.

I swear they were respawning too - Danny you lied!

Oh there are respawns in this, just not like CoD4

if you stay in one spot you get a few waves of enemies but unlike cod 4 they do stop after so long.

That area is one of the few areas in the game which had cod4 spawning. I don't know why they did it. I pushed up the right hand side thinking they would stop but they dont. You have to chuck every thing you have at them then run to the sandbags to stop the spawning.

Only the last 2nd last level has anything like that again for re-spawning.

It was hard enough on hardened. Only the one where you start with the flame thower in your hand is anywhere near that hard.

The last push to the stairs had me swearing.

Yeah I did the same, they killed my respawning team though and they ended up pinning me down.

Ill try again after the football.

The repetitive nature of veteran does detract from the story slighty though

Might turn it down to normal and rip through it before going back on veteran.

The frustration ruins what is a very very good game. Turn it down and it's still tough but you dont lose the flow from being on the same level for 3 hours. I did 5 then gave up. Finished on hardened and then will do vet at my leisure a level or so per month.

It also helps you find exactly where to go for triggers rather than wasting time on vet.
