I can't see it ever working to be fair, hotlinking on that scale would crush any server. I think they'll take it down.

Edit: Thinking about it maybe not, but every time anyone goes on any webpage anywhere with an avatar on it has to be loaded from MS...

Thats what gets me everytime with Microsoft. Everytime they rolll something out its as though they have been taken by suprise by the numbers.

I wouldn't be suprised at all if it falls over again this xmas.
 
random thing i've found, on the dash if you move your right stick the head of your avatar will move.

Up and down repeatedly makes it smile
Side to side repeatedly makes it angry
Round in circles makes it dizzy
press down on the stick make it wave

Wierd... when I push my right stick down it makes my avatar burp :eek:
 
Just done mine earlier, will try get it uploaded asap, gotta admit its quite limited and seems to be copying the Wii "Mii" Not sure if i like the new update yet...

I agree, it is a total copy of the "Mii" but it's pretty cool and seems to work well (for a Microsoft product :D)

I especially like the 'copy to HD' function. I played Gears of War earlier in total silence! Not to mention the actual internal operating temperature of the unit must be much lower with the DVD drive not creating a lot of heat.

Yep, although I imagine MS will make a bucket load with putting clothing on the marketplace. I can imagine it getting ridiculous, Gucci watches etc! And yes they're are sad enough people to buy all this stuff.
