Tregothan. It helps having a friend who owns a tea shop.
Ooh, don't suppose you could get me a sample :)?

Tea is without a doubt the finest concoction known to mankind.

Anyone who disagrees should be lynched.

Didn't take long for this to turn into a tea snob thread :p

Yorkshire, Tetley make a fine brew. Decaf Tetley or Twinings Lemon & Ginger in the evenings.

edt - forgot my favourite!! Indian spiced tea when i can be bothered making it.

Having a cuppa right now. Usually too warm in my office but at the mo it's just right, plus I've just closed a few incidents and change requests so thought I'd celebrate by having a cuppa :)

Ok, I never have and probably won't start drinking tea. Feel like I may be missing out but save money at least :p

I used to be a coffee person, have never ever liked tea... and then I bought my girlfriend THIS and everything changed!

We gave a gourmet tea machine to my brother for his 30th birthday yesterday, and he was very happy with it. To celebrate, we had a lovely cup of Sencha green tea :).

What's so special about that? The Chinese/Japanese has been drinking teas for centuries before the English got their hands on it and they had no machines. Unlike coffee where the process is more mechanical, tea (to me) is less of a science and can achieve easily with a pot and some boiling water.

Sure, you can make a perfect cup of tea with a teapot and all that but this just takes all the hard work out. For example, for certain types of tea the water shouldn't be as hot as others. The machine makes sure it's the correct temperature before releasing it in to the brewing area, then the brewing time is exact before it releases it in the tea pot below. The tea pot is also on a built in hot plate so your tea stays hot for 1/2 an hour.

Basically, if you want easy yet perfect tea then it's the dogs mahoonas imo.

Well there's your problem. Different types of tea should be infused for different amounts of time and with different water temperatures. Green tea, for example, shouldn't be made using boiling water :).

I find that a cup of tea tastes its finest when accompanied by a full english breakfast.

My favorite meal bar none :)
