My cheapo ebay VGA cable gives a great image. Infact I prefer it to HDMI. HDMI looks a bit too 'harsh', and it looks a little darker.

I got the elite the other week and currently working my way thru Mass Effect...I also have a decent spec PC and the elite is a breath of fresh air...loving the on/disk in and go. Looks OK on my 32inch HD-LCD also expected more squarey image but looks good.

I seem to notice using VGA looks better through my LC monitor than it does though my dads TV. I assume monitors just support VGA better.

You can't use a bog standard VGA cable, it must be a 360 connector to VGA cable

I'd say another 2-3 of full support, then then new xbox will be released, total speculation though, as the ps3 will be around for ages
