Hiper have had a lot of bad press and get a good slating on here as well for their recent quality issues. However this may well change -

Four out of five Hiper PSUs we are going to talk about today have not only new parameters and functionality, but are manufactured by a different company. Hiper decided to replace their former manufacturer with a well known Channel Well. Their functionality, however, is truly great. Three models out of five have a built-in USB 2.0 hub.

Even if their reliability improves, people who have been burned are unlikely to go back to Hiper. Though an interesting read.

Good reading....

I have to agree with the review, four of the five units look really well specified unlike the old tyre R 580W which had a very poor 12V output of 360W so performed more like a 400W unit.

CWT are a well respected manufacturer. If the price and warranty is right ..... then I'd consider one.

How strange. I've built 4 PC's now with Hipers 630w PSU and all are working perfectly a year later. What are the issues some people are unlucky enough to have?

Never seen the "Hiper Explosive" threads :)

However this looks good, perhaps Hiper can now redeem themselves!! I'm liking the 9 usb slots on their PSUs!

For those who had a Hiper that exploded, which model did you have?

Curious to know if mine is an accident waiting to happen. So far though with 11 months of use under it's belt it has been faultless.
