its old, like yesterday made. no butter makes it even worse (at least allow us to put our own butter like they do in the states)
i know popcorn is the most profitable legal thing, but thats not an excuse.
in greece they dont have the extra butter option, but at least is fresh and tastes nice.

I don't think I've ever really had good popcorn.

Can anyone recommend any good stuff for next time I feel like some at home?

Urgh, vile stuff. It's like eating those expanded foam things you get to pad out parcels, except it has the added "bonus" of bits of kernel to get stuck between your teeth.

Go back to the USA you dirty yank ?

I buy things from the spar and insist my girlfriend takes her "Mary Poppins" bag with her...

Their is a morrisons around the corner from my local cinema so I just go there and get a packet of morrisons sweet popcorn for 99p. Much nicer than the cinema stuff and cheaper.

I never buy any food/drink form cinemas. I refuse to pay the prices.

I agree with that, and it's not just me being Scottish and living up to our reputation of being tight. :p

For the prices they charge at our local cinema for popcorn, drink & pick n mix they should be wearing a mask - its robbery :(

Salted popcorn is vile.

It's the other type I like....can't remember what it is now though.

When I was younger I used to eat some realllllly nice bags at home and stuff, it was like a sweet popcorn I guess....almost caramel / toffee like or something.
