I'm trying to get the core volts to stay at about 1.35 in prime but what i set in bios drops below that while priming so a lower overclock.

Example

1.387V - Bios
1.312V - Prime

-

1.403V - Bios
1.328V - Prime

Is it ok to go higher than 1.403v in bios to compensate for the vdroop in prime(hardload) ?

1.437V - Bios
1.4V - CPUZ ( Idle )
1.352V - Prime

9X330 = 2970MHZ

Unless you are using a calibrated voltmeter only trust the voltage 1.437V set in the BIOS. The peak voltage must never exceed the CPU safety limit vdroop or not.

Depends on the mobo, CPU-Z is far closer to the real vcore than the bios for me.
 
Although True what PanMaster says, it all depends on your cooling and temps.

For a very short period on booting you cpu will be at the voltage set in bios before dropping slightly.

So long as the idle voltage in windows is "safe" then you are fine.

From memory you are "safe" to 1.55v with the 3800 x2 but you must watch your temps and you really need watercooling to be running at those voltages.

This is a Q6600 With an ASRock Penryn1600SLI-110dB , sig was not changed i thought i'd had guess i forgot Sorry!
