Can you still handle your drink?

Has anyone ever drank at lunch break then went back to college?

About 4 mates from my class are gonna smoke weed at lunch break tomorrow, then go back to lesson, I was thinking I'd drink instead.

When in sixthform, we used to go for a few pints at lunch a few days a week.

I don't drink much but when I do I usually go all out :p

Last time I went out I had 35cl of Vodka at home/in taxi mixed with a bit of rubbish orange juice.. then 2 pints while I was out and that's me for the night :p

During the course of the month i'll have 4-5 nights where i go down to the pub for a couple of pints (3-4) along with some pool and almost religiously curry and a pint for £5 night on thursdays.

Maybe 1-2 nights a month where i have a complete bender and wake up the next day feeling like utter ****. I don't like it the next day but i find the night before i tend to have a litre of vodka as pre-drinks and then whatever everyone else has if not more during the night out.

Woke up this monday morning with a skanky looking 49 year old naked woman next to me though after a birthday celebration party then clubs. Not a highlight of my life waking up having this saggy thing next to me being half blind and wanting nothing more than to watch tv in a dressing gown with a hot cup of cocoa.

Cambridge students drink an awful lot.
Actually, thinking about this it's more of a problem then people, certainly at Cambridge, realise.

Given how hard people work here, the availability, normality and price of drink is a real problem.

Subsidised bars, and alcohol with every formal (which a lot of students go to more then one a week), regular drinks evenings, cocktail parties, dinners, feasts. It's a bit too normal to be very drunk here.

it's the day after that kills me nowadays

if i go out friday, then all day saturday, sunday is a no go area :)

It depends what sort of mood i'm in, sometimes I want 2 pints then my bed, sometimes I want to drink the world dry and set about it accordingly.

I used to drink a horrendous amount. I drink a lot less these days. I tend to have a bottle of wine before leaving the house then 5-6 doubles when I'm out. Saves a lot of money. :)

I'm 24, started drinking when I was 20.

I can drink as much as then, I'm better behaved when I've had a lot now, but the morning after is worse these days, and I'm not even old :(

It's not uncommon for me to still feel quite bad the morning after the morning after a not particularly heavy session, which sucks!
