Worst car you have driven this year?

Current shape 1.2 Corsa. Body flex, front end geometry completely cocked up, nasty interior, comically short gears....if Vauxhall sell these hateful things for any more than 23p then they're ripping folks off.

Hate the Honda Civic I drove at the start of the year. Bad in many ways, though if I am honest I was feeling poorly and the CD was playing a Christmas CD that I couldnt work out how to switch off so it may have clouded my view of it. I also drove for 6 miles before I caught the windscreen up too.

Had ot get a hire car for a work rip, wanted a big diesel to waft along in but all they could do me was a Corsa 1.4 (needed it within the hour).

The young guy was all chirpy saying it was a good 'nippy' (grr) car.

It was total crap. It was slow and terrible on fuel, I should have taken my Clio :(

It's a close competition between a few...

Alfa 147 1.6
Deawoeoeooeo Matiz 0.something
MK5 Golf Plus 1.9tdi

All as bad as each other in their own ways, all slow, all don't handle, all felt like rowing a boat when changing gear, all had uncomfortable seats, all had poor build quality (less so the Golf), all had rattles and annoying squeeks...I could go on - I hate courtesty cars except the Matiz was someone else courtesy car which I drove ten meters in a car park and that was enough!!!

A new Ford Ka, as whilst waiting for new company car my wifes car (Ford Focus) decided to have gearbox issues and she was given that for a week, not sure what engine it had, but it was horrible inside, and out and even worse to drive.

Closely followed by a Citroen C4 that I had as a rental for a couple of days last month and had to drive to Cambridge and back in (250 miles) everything just seemed in the wrong place.

Definately in no rush to drive either of them again!

A 1.0 micra year2000. It the facelift one with a better engine (59hp!!!!!!!).

That alone is not the issue, the long long gear ratios and the 59lbs of torque make it an uninvolving drive, that becomes a HUGE pain on motorways as it cannot accelerate quick enough for overtaking ot anything.
There are also bits of plastic where I would have the air con, electric windows etc etc if it wasn't the base model:p

1.2 58 plate Corsa...looked cheap, nasty and sounded like a clapped out icecream van going up a steep hill. *shudders*

Toyota Avensis 1.6 :(

Only in the Republic of Ireland would a company market and sell a car that size with an engine that small! Wallowy, slow, overly light controls - absolutely terrible!

Probably the K reg Mondeo I've got in the drive today while my car is being MOT'd, feels like a base 1.6 model, 158k on the clock, messed up interior, absolute mess, not to mention between 2k-3k rpm (As in ALL the way) it makes this horrible cliccking and grindng that makes you think (Maybe wish) that the engine will explode, or the gearbox will fall out!

Brakes feel good though, maybe cause i'm not going fast enough in the asthmatic rat of a car :D

Makes my old 1.3 Fiesta seem like a rocket :D

58 Reg Ford Fiesta 1.4 TD (tdci?) i'm not sure whether it was de-tuned as it was a hire car (there's not exactly much power to detune) but it was stupidly slow, slower than a 1.25 Fiesta.

Struggled to think, was going to put my old astra as I havent driven much this year, but then realised the Vauxhall VXR, mainly because it was round Thruxton and was horrible to be in, and understeered like mad. Hateful car.

Tough one , between these 2

the 1994 Vauxhall Astra Saloon 1.4 that I bought for £300 a month ago. it's like trying to steer the Titanic! No powersteering and the suspension wallows like big floppy thing
