Hi Guys,

Looking for a decent PSU manufacturer that offers a UK based RMA service. Suggestions and experiences welcome.

Thanks,

Mark

I just found this article about Enermax;
http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2008/10/27/enermax-to-shut-shop-in-the-uk/1

It was updated on 27th Oct with this though;
Despite everything we've heard from a few well placed sources, Enermax has contacted us directly to point out that the company will continue to have a UK-based agent to handle RMAs, but didn't rule out a complete closure in the long term. The Enermax representative also highlighted that any decision with regards to the UK office's status hasn't yet been made and won't be until the company makes an official announcement.

Also;
The only PSU companies left with a UK base is currently Akasa, Hiper (across the road from Enermax, who actually originally started out in the UK) and Nanopoint who serves Tagan, Silverpower, Etasis and Seasonic.

Hiper

I know people complain about them but I've not had any trouble, had to RMA a PSU and had a brand new one in a few days, top notch.

So it's definately a UK Address that you sent it to?

I don't think they do. Some people on here have had to send their Corsair PSU's to the Netherlands costing something like £25...

I believe Enermax do, but apparently they are closing it down - whether this is true or not I don't know.

EDIT: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17943295&highlight=Netherlands

Yeah, that's what I heard, they did change their RMA offices, but I think this was just a move from the USA. The 5 year warranty is still quite attractive however.

Thanks for the heads up on Enermax, I'll have to keep an eye on that.

seasonic, zalman or corsair (ones >800w made by seasonic) are all great quality and quiet. I have had all 3 and never had to RMA so couldn't say if UK based, check their website. Although I have heard that Corsair is in the Netherlands.

Some other good manufacturers also, they just aren't as quiet (enermax, toughpower series etc...)

yes partly right - for the modu 82, but not for their galaxy series :)

btw great site for info, a lot less bs then others, i always check what they say about PSUs :)

this is corsair rma

Hello,

Per our standard policy you will have to pay for the postage to ship it to us, as we will pay to ship your new replacement once the memory is received.
Please return your memory to our Netherlands hub

Hello,

This is the nearest hub that you could send your part to, we do not have any hubs in UK. Once we receive it in this hub then we'll replace your module with a brand new one.

Thank you

Hello,

Please send your package to our NET hub

Attn: RMA dept
RMA number 1080427
Tunerstraat 3
Almere

Yeah, memory isn't so bad however, it's only a couple of pounds more than UK mail, as it's so light. Just post it standard Airmail and get a certificate of postage at the post office.

Can send to netherlands for around £18 interparcel or parcel2go.

Never ever use the post office.

Well the post office is fine for smaller items, but like you say interparcel or parcel2go would be best for returning PSUs to the netherlands.

We send to the Netherlands every week day at work and it works out cheaper than sending a larger and heavier box to Scotland :/ with the same company.
