My current system doesnt really need upgraded as its all ready quick(see sig)

I cant help thinking a really decent i7 system would be a lot quicker and im a sucker for new technology. Right now I'd probably go i7 965, Gigabyte EX58-UD5, and 3x Zotac GeForce GTX 280 700mhz.

I just cant make up my mind to upgrade now or wait for the 8 core extreme edition.

Would you upgrade now or wait ? When is the 8 core ment to be released?

nah, wait till the cost of i7 is equal to the sale price of your current rig.

either that or give what you have to meee :D

That is never going to happen. Now is actually a good time to sell the rig as everyone is backing out of their plans to buy i7 and will be looking for a cheap upgrade to satisfy their hunger for new tech (I.e. the people still on socket 939 or those with dual core, C2D.)

Well, you have an awesome system, you have no "need" to upgrade whatsoever, no real benefit, but you're obviously loaded, and you have a need for new tech - so i think you don't really need to ask a question.

You already know you're going to go I7 and have a whole new set of toys to play with to go with it.

You might as well do it before Christmas so you can have your new new system to play with over the holidays.

The thing is hes only going to be losing money on his system the longer he keeps it and im sure theres going to be a lot more ppl doing it soon which will make his stuff harder to sell and a nice price. He also never mentioned him needing i7 cus half this forum really dont need it but we all want it and if you have the means to get one why not?
