Its worth pointing out that, I said very specifically that the side was poor from game one this season, that Denilson was woeful and simply wasn't quite being shown up because we're playing poor opposition the first game against real opposition he will be woeful. He has been, against sides in the top half we were soundly beaten, infact easily beaten by 3 of them, and were fairly lucky to win against Man U and a target missing Rooney and Ronaldo. Against the bottom half we won a lot of games, but lost some and drew against pretty poor opposition.
The fact is we did have a easy start to the season and as our schedual now has a lot more top half games for us than any other team, its starting to show. Almost universally Denilson was thought to be terrible beyond belief today. Defensively that is what he's been all year, we just haven't been up against really any normal top half teams till now, at which point the team fell apart. This isn't sudden, or remotely surprising, we've been playing exactly the same ALL year, the difference, better opposition is ripping us to shreds, thats the only difference so far.
Couldn't be more clear to anyone on earth that Denilson in midfield is killing us, aswell as playing multiple other players out of position. Theo is a damn striker, he's useless on the wing, he doesn't create many goals, his best games has been when he's scoring, not when he's creating, should tell you something. Bendtner and RVP shouldn't play together upfront, they are both "bergkamp" types , they need theo/eduardo/Vela infront of them.
Ramsey and Wilshire should be being played, they are much better than Theo/Denilson/Song/Hoyte/Diaby.
We can't win anything with a record of 3 loses in 4 against the top half of the table, and certainly not with our record against the bottom half of the table. 3/4 losses to the top half of the table is midtable at best, maybe not even top half of the table, we've still yet to play Chelsea/Pool who are both playing better than all the rest, by a margin. We're 10points off the lead, almost a 1/3 down and we've still got a massively skewed view because we've played almost the entire bottom half of the table and very few top half. If we continue to lose to them we'll be lucky to be top 8.
