I borrowed a Sigma 300-800 for five minutes today and got these:

Exif: 1/400, f5.6 iso 1000, 800mm (700mm for the second of the two)

Man it was nice not to have to crop too much!

A long lens here I come.....

Nice Picture but seems to have a fair bit of noise. What body where you shooting with?

Its a D200 according to the exif.

Lovely shots, shame about the high noise levels. How come you were shooting at ISO1000?

Yup it's a D200.

800mm at 1/400 with no VR - any lower than iso 1000 and there would have been severe camera shake I think!
