Just asking anyone whos got W.O to continue their sub, i know its a weird thing to ask but everyone keeps comparing this to wow, it aint wow, wow is a 4 year old mmo which has had a lot of time to mature, WO is only 2 months old, it was even worse than W.O at the start yet people stuck with it, any warhammer fans keep it going and it will become greatness, DF1986 out :D
 
I'm sure most of the people who want to play it, playing it already, asking people who didn't like it to keep paying money for it is a bit of a futile thing to do.
 
WAR will most likely succeed on US servers, I can't see EU doing well frankly. GOA have already had far too many problems. My personal favourite being the enabling of all "auto renew" options for subscriptions - then telling customers if they DONT want to pay, they'll have to go and change it back themselves. All done just before the first 30days ran out :)

This is for warhammer fans mainly as ive been on it for the last few days and its an awesome game but the amount of people moaning like little gits on the foums is sickening, when there really isnt much to moan about.

Still up to their tricks then? One reason I wouldnt play war was because of bad experiences of GOA while playing Dark age of Camelot..

With all due respect, come back and tell us how awesome the game is and how sickening the whiners are when you've ranked to 40 and played the game for more than a few days.

Oh there's plenty to moan about.

But I agree, GOA is gonna be the downfall for it in Europe. I'm re-rolling on K8P soon I think ... tired of the dead server I'm on (ABP). Can't remember the last time I saw a decent number of people online.
 
warhammer is meh

It has nothing to do with bugs or imbalance its just not very fun. Had far more fun with the buggy Vanguard on the FFA server than I ever think I will playing WAR.

Still subbed but will try out Spellborn as the combat system looks quite involving which will make a change from WAR.
 
Didn't continue after the free month, infact, gave up after about 5 days.

The game just isn't polished, no other MMO except WoW seems to actually work properly, never even seen one with a decent chat interface.

WoW may not have as many features as a lot of MMO's but at least what is there is perfect.

I think that sums it up for me, i left the option which auto-renews and just pays for one month. And all behold i go to check my subscription status and it's ticked.

from what i hear Mythic should have disbanded from using GOA a long time ago they're completely useless. Albeit they had a pretty smoothish start up but creating too many servers was a completely stupid thing to do.

I'll only sub for what i pay. and i ain't playing it that much over the last month since i've just got too bored of it. I want to see what this new heavy metal update has in store but i dont have the funds to do so. I hope GOA go back to supporting their cheap mini games and lay off supporting MMO client servers.

I'd support it if they had some fresh idea's instead of copying from DAoC and adding a few new fancy features. But they dont.

WoW is a very polished game but i wont be supporting that either as its too old and boring. I think im fading off MMORPG's after buying 2 of them (War, AoC) and just stick to other genres.

To turn a phrase, you can polish a turd, but it is still a turd!

I haven't played WH but from what I have read here, and told by friends it has all sorts of issues. The same thing with AoC. Lots of hype blah blah but plagued by problems [and is hella boring, convoluted and uhm... boring].

MMOs appear to be going the same route as a lot of "normal" games lately. All fancy graphics and hype, but a big steaming pile of freshly laid horse excrement is what awaits you once you have been suckered in.
 
's a good game with a lot of cool ideas, but have to agree with some of the other posts, GOA are killing it in Europe, and Mythic don't seem to care.
