I once won £500 in some crazy "mat sliding" race at one of our local kids park things when I was about 12. What made it even more satisfying is I beat a 30+ year old guy in the final and he cried :')

I remember at Christmas when I was 13 I won a life size wooden replica nimbus 2000 from toys r us (the broomstick from harry potter) I sold it for ~£350 and bought my first PC :D

You mean you didn't keep it?

Seriously though, last one I saw sold for £525.

Who contacted you about the tickets? The organisers? I happen to work for the publishers who supply all the MSA publications, so we get tonnes of complimentary tickets.

I remember when I was little I was at a fair once and this charity stall was setting up with a game. There was a bottle 20 year-old scotch that was lock in a cabinet, the game was you had to find the correct key in a box full of about 200 of them. I picked one and it turned out to be the right one! The look on the stall holders face was priceless when they realised I had won, I must have been the first 'customer' of the day! I was only about 5 and had to have my picture taken for the local paper holding the bottle. my mum had to be in it too as they said it might look a bit odd if a 5-year old was given a bottle of scotch. (I still have the bottle too!)

There was a thing on at a shopping centre here before, you had to find some letters and make up a word.

My GF got told the word by someone that worked there, and won a trip to Lapland!

Imagine that when you are 12 :p

It was Motorsport Magazine who contacted me about the tickets. Probably going to send them/the editor a letter of complaint about it.

That's because their magazine is rubbish. Email me and I'll send you some tickets. We are the publishing company for the Wales Rally GB programme, amongst many others.
