The Chancellor announced the rate of VAT will reduce from 17.5% to 15% from Monday 1st December, but you don't have to wait that long at OcUK. We believe a saving in VAT should be passed on to our customers and to prove the point you can start saving today. With immediate effect all orders will have the benefit of the 2.5% reduction in VAT making your favourite hardware even more affordable.

show product page fixed, for some reason an old js file was being sent - very odd as it's weeks old afaik. Renamed the js file and it's finding the right one now.
 
Kudos Spie - Im actually really impressed, especially considering the poor rates you are getting for importing all this tech...

Its obvious gonna hit a lot of businesses so was assuming that some might just leave prices as they were to assist their profit margins...

Nice gesture from ocuk. Though been hoping for some of the famous Gibbo BOLD LETTER bargain offers these past couple of weeks in the forums - pretty much conspicuous by their absence.

Unfortunately we are fighting to stop the pricing from going up so the massive discounts that we like to offer come in the form of static pricing. :(

If we are buying at 10% more than before but selling at the same price it does not have the same ring to it in big bold letters!

When we can offer deals we certainly will, but at the moment we are doing well not to see prices skyrocket.

Couple of months ago the Powercolor 4870 was around £175 Inc VAT (17.5%), now we have a VAT cut of 2.5% the buggers are £183, yes what a saving, i better get me wallet oot. :p

Not that i'm going to argue over a couple of quid, but I thought it worth mentioning that the order I placed this morning seems to have had 17.5% vat charged, not the 15% stated.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but here are the calculations copy/pasted from the email confirmation:
Sub Total: £78.29
Shipping: £7.99
Total Vat: £15.07
Total inc Vat: £101.18
