Whats the story behind that that? Obviously it's designed to make us all think you've hit the bigtime and have your own Bloomberg terminal but whats the real deal? :p

It's not mine, my uni gives me unlimited access to it:D

Allows you to analyse world financial markets, real-time prices, financial news, costs about £15k a year.

You get 15k a year?

I don't get it, whats the point in looking at the financial market, does it tell us when it is best to get our graphics cards or what day and hour/min of the day it is best to buy our shopping? I don't know why their is any point looking at it :p

The price of the subscription for the BT is £15k a year. The point in analysing financial markets helps in trading decisions, for people trading on indices and shares for example.

I think I briefly mentioned the sub in there which was built as part of an intended 2.1 system for this uni desk. Still not finished though and since I'm leaving uni it may not get finished; that would be a bit of a shame since it should be a very nice 2.1. Using Hi-Vi B3Ns as satellites, active crossover and notch filter+BSC :)

Whats going on in the photo is crude testing of the subwoofer driver (Hi-Vi M8a) used as a midbass. It's actually very well regarded with a near perfectly behaved cone up till the first breakup, so my current plans are to implement it in a 3 way system. Dayton RS52 proposed mid and I have my Hi-Vi planars already.

With the little Monacor SPH-30x I'm running a computer crossover (each driver gets a soundcard channel, L or R) just with Vst's to gain an idea of the M8a's quality up to 850hz and it sounds promising :)
