Arsenal have some major injuries worries still: Toure, Walcott, Eboue, Adebayor, Sagna, Rosicky, Eduardo, Diaby and Nasri.

Hopefuly we'll play RvP and Bendtner up front but our midfield is going to be seriously lacking width regardless of who ends up playing, right back is going to be a bit of a problem too. Be interesting to see how Gallas plays with Cesc as captain for the first time, regardless of how we play though we really need a win!

Villareal v Utd is going to be a cracker :D

At least it looks like Da Silva is playing - with (hopefully) Park, Fletcher Carrick and Nani in midfield and Tevez and Rooney upfront (yes, I think it would be good to give Ronaldo a rest from the battering he got on Sat - and see less falling over/whinging) with Manucho to come on for one of the front two for the last 20-30 minutes to see how he does (as Welbeck was left in Manchester)

Disappointed that Pig has been put in goal ahead of Foster

The English teams should be strong enough to see themselves picking up the wins and passages into the next round, with United being the only ones likely to struggle. Even with what is going on at Arsenal you would have to fancy them against Kiev.

Interesting to see Juve are 3/1 to win this evening, almost worth a punt.

Also, Spurs to win Thursday would make me a happy bunny.

The Juve game is in doubt due to bomb blasts.

Edit: looks like its going ahead now :)

Interesting piece on the Beeb about how Bellion's career has gone since he left Utd, kind of like Forlan's. I always used to like Bellion, mostly because I got my tickets from him :D

Forlan's career's gone down since he left UTD? UTD was his low point he's done very well afterwards, if memory serves me correct. Didn't he get/share the European Golden Boot one season?

1998–2002 Independiente 80 (37)
2002–2004 Manchester United 63 (10)
2004–2007 Villarreal 106 (54)
2007– Atlético Madrid 43 (22)

Indeed it was his low point.

I wouldn't say his career has got much better either.

Manchester United he was 24 (4)
West Ham on loan 8 (0)
Nice on loan 15 (5)
Nice 30 (7)
Bordeaux 47 (15)

Hardly much of an improvement.

Got a date tonight, first date infact. Wouldn't it be a shame if the place we're going just happens to be showing the football? ;)

Vela starting for Arsenal tonight, Tevez benched in favour of Nani for Man U.

EDIT

Arsenal Team

Almunia
Djourou Gallas Silvestre Clichy
Denilson Cesc Song Ramsey
Vela RvP

Looks like Fergie has gone for a draw (5 in midfield and OShea AGAIN at RB)

At least Jonny Evans is getting a start I guess, Tevez on the bench again

Lol, the commentators at the Arsenal game have just got their beers in. :p

Very important match this for more reasons than just the victory for qualification.
