There are 4 guilds that i know on my server clearing all the released content in the game and its been what......2 weeks?

While I'd also like the content to be a little harder (not that I'm even in a guild at the moment), would you prefer the situation as it is now, with lots of people experiencing it, or would you like the deliberately broken content they've had in the past (the gate to Vaelastrasz closing after every attempt, Gruul hitting harder and with many more hp, Vashj mind controlling the main tank, massive attunement chains etc etc)?

Admittedly they could have the balance better but remember that a lot of people have already experienced Naxx. When the new raids come out, they will be unfamiliar to them. Remember how tightly tuned Sunwell Plateau was? There's no reason to think Blizzard have forgotten how to make raids like this. It has also been suggested that future raid difficulty may be swung in favour of achievements e.g. the boss is fairly easy, but killing it with more adds up makes it harder but awards an achievement.

ok time for the fanboi answer i guess :( (flame all you want i rly dont care)

I'm pretty sure blizz mentioned that the raids that are out now ie Naxx are meant to be the "training" raids to get people ready for the harder ones ie Kara was in BC.

Now im not going to state that the raids yet to be released will be extremely hard but look at how BC kinda scaled. Sunwell was rock solid when that came out. Only really after wotlk came out they nerfed it.

What im trying to get at is these raids that are out at the moment in my eyes are meant to be the building blocks to better harder raids. I could be completely wrong but then again i might be right.

I've not done any of the raids yet. But our guild is getting ready to have our first attempts at Naxx in the next couple of weeks. But thats purely because we cannot all level as quick as some are. Why its being refered to as the 73-77 level range is casual is beyond me.

Why do you need to label people if they are hardcore or casual ?? i just dont get it who gives a damm the game is meant to be fun. Fun is you enjoying yourself so just because you are still lvl 73 doesnt mean you suck at wow maybe you dont have the time maybe you do other bits in the game that dont involve exp. ie BG's fishing profs ?!?! I dont know.

As for the hardcore days are over meh.... MEH i say. I never liked the fact that to run a MC i had to raid with 6-8 of my friends and the rest people i really hate cuz it was all about the EPICS AND LOOT !!!!!!
imo having the 10mans mean i can raid with friends have a play about and enjoy it.

I've ranted on more than i need too tbh. I just get annoyed that people need to well.... basically fap their epeen about. It stupid.

I agree.

I am level 76 now with my DK, but mostly because I am working, watch movies, go out that type of thing. I admit that I am leveling as fast as I can when I do play wow but still.

As for the content, I DO think that they said back in the day they wanted the early raids to be easier and the later raids will increase in a gradual slope of difficulty, but I don't have the link with me and can't be bothered to search for it :p

So few guilds ever got to see sunwell, heck a lot of guilds didn't even get to see inside of karazhan and listen to prince proclaim "You face not prince Malchazar alone, but the legions I command!". I really do miss karazhan :( Even after SSC, BT and other areas I still really loved kara.

Anyone else just like me and has no drive to level up at all?

I'm sat at 76 atm.... can't see myself having muhc time this week tbh.. and weekend is packed out.

hate it :(

Got a priest at lvl 70 and 4-5 chars at lvl 60-63 and have no drive to level up as no one i know in the guild plays it any more :( no fun playing a MMO solo lol...

maybe after Xmas... maybe, for now WAR is enough.

Aye i wanted to go WAR but all my friends refused to leave WoW. So im still on it.

As you said playing a MMO on your own is boring :p

just be sure to get your wow terminology correct.

if you raid with a guild you have been in for 12 months, staying up til 2am to kill that last boss, and then rolling into work looking like a zombie youre 'hardcore' - this is how men play

if you do the same raid but it takes you 20 attempts youre a 'welfare raider'

welfare raiders arent as good as the 'hardcore' as by getting the same equipment that they have, it dilutes the uberness.

rumour has it that blizzard is introducing a new hardcore subscription of £24.99 per month but this allows you to purchase a tabard in game that shines with holy/leet/madskillz light, that can stun a welfare subscription player for 5-10 seconds and cause 120 nature damage every 2 seconds for 12 seconds.

Hardcore doesn't = Skill, nono. Hardcore = No-lifers.

It seems Blizzard has finally realised most of their player base fall into the 'casual' category, therefore adjusted their game accordingly. About time really.

Gaming needs both ends to survive...

the big companys that sponser gaming, look at the hardcore things. No some casual gamer.

a lot of money in the gaming industry is from hardcore gaming.

Not really, it could be as simple as them making the first dungeons easy to gear people up for much harder ones to come. Common sense really.

But look at WoW, for instance. If you made all the content aimed at "hardcores" How much subs would they get ?

Majority of the WoW population is Casuals. Theres no two ways about it they are. Now as a Business you are going to aim for the one that will give you more business ergo more money. Blizzard have recognised this and done a damm good job at it.

Look at what has happened more people have started to play more subs go up = more money. Blizzard would not lose that much money if all the "hardcores" went to another game imo.

I agree that there is a lot of money in the gaming industry for hardcores. But there is far more money for casuals. Look at the Wii for instance. The DS. All casual games. Then look at the money they have made over the xbox and playstation.

This is going off topic but i just had to get my point across

As is stands im a casual player with my gf. We find it very hard to get in any groups for instances as it is. I've only done Ramps on Outland so far and 3/4 baby instances like DM, stockade etc. Maybe it's the Thunderhorn server. I would love to do raids etc, but other players seem to be selfish and "hardcore" about who they let join. I find most elitist idiots outside of general questing.
