what card please. :s

i should stop looking at reviews for this card.. tempting to jump from a 8800gt KO to this 9800gtx+..

From those reviews I'd still chose a 4850? It beats it in things I care about, although the 9800GTX+ does a good bit better in 3Dmark/light thing etc.. I'm going to be making the jump very shortly too so I have to chose between 9800gtx/4850. Every time I make my mind up I read something that favours the other! :(

welcome to my world!!! and I've now noticed that i have only 280mm room in my case for the 275mm card. :s oooerr. decisions decisions. although this is now just making me tell myself that a new case would be a good idea! nooo. budget budget budget. :o

how long is the 4850, i cant find its size anywhere..

It's smaller than the 9800gtx so if you can fit 275mm then you've got np.

still cant decide. 9800gtx+ dark knight for 138 quid or HD 4850 for 132. keep reading reviews and it really is 50/50!! heeeelp!

From those two I'd chose the 9800, simply because the cooling looks better. I've seen a Gainward 4850 for £132 on the net with the bigger cooler which is my choice, that's what I'm stuck between, OC's dark knight 9800 and that. :(

that's why i'd pick the gtx, because of the stock cooling, looks nice and quiet

in performance terms i posted that because it shows how equal they are

'the way it's meant to be played' games will excel with nvidia, and HL type games will excel with ati

they're both great performers for the £££
