I'm running my Q6600 with a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 Rev 2.0 MB at the moment. I've just come into a bit of money and now getting itchy feet to upgrade! Is it worth updating to a newer board and if so which one? I am also using PC2-6400 RAM with it but I want to change that as well. My last couple of boards have been Gigabyte boards and I have always found these to be reliable.

The UD3P however, has 2x16 PCI-E slots. http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=2919

Very new board so not much information out there, some very warm reception on other boards, however. And yes it's available on OcUK :) Just ordered one last night as a replacement for my half-dead P5N32-E, hoping it will perform well and allow a decent Q6600 Overclock!

I had a look at this and people seem to like it. What RAM are you going to use with it?

Personally I'm going 680i -> P45 so it's a big jump ;)

I'm only using PC6400 ram (the stuff on offer from here actually, 2x2G) as I don't plan to clock that much.

Mostly to get a stable system as my machine has started having bluescreens and failed memory tests (with 2 sets of ram, so it's got to be the mobo...)
