Should I pay for it? Im thinking no:p

Its on a mates drive, was his Ms old car and is currently SORN. Starts and runs fine apparently.
If he does want cash I reckon 100 squids tops.

Anyone got any recent 'scort pricing experience?

Perry.

Any car described as 'good runner' is clearly a shonky pile of rubbish with mould on the window seals.

You never see 'For sale, 2006 Audi A3 2.0 TDI S-Line. Warranty till 2009, cruise, concert sound system. GOOD RUNNER' do you.

Echoing other people - i'd say £50 as when you come to MOT it, i'd be shocked if there wasn't something that needed doing. For starters, have you checked the tyres? Because if two need replacing, that's £100 gone without even looking at anything else.

My serious answer is that if he is a mate he won't mind you taking it for an MOT will he. Tell him you'll pay for the MOT & then decide after it fails dismally on welding & wishbones :p

What would you do with it? You cant drive it because what if somebody saw you, and you cant sell it because you'd get smelly people with tracksuits visiting your house and trying to haggle £10 off

Personally I got my mate Jim to drive mine down the MOT centre using his trade plates but anybody is allowed to drive a motor to a PRE booked MOT as long as they are insured. I used Jim as the trade plates negate the need for tax.

Driving to an MOT centre negates the need for tax also.

W00t! Thanks for the replies:D

It will be a "buy me a pint" deall i think just wanted a rough idea.

Ive booked an MOT for next week so will get that done and remove it. I think he was planning to scrap it anyway, plus its SORN just now.

He decribes it as a good runner as Im sure thats all he knows about cars, hes a nice chap, nice but bit dim at times!

TBH long as it costs me very little to get through the MOT and next to nowt to him Im happy. It only for me little old Mum to pootle around in when she needs to get to the shops and so forth.
