Thailand Trip

thailand can be done very cheaply or very expensive depending on where you choose to stay and what you choose to drink

the local drink is cheap, imported foreign beers are expensive

you can rent cheap huts to stay with a mosquito net or more expensive resorts with air con, swimming pools etc..

i lived there for one year (seven years ago) and it was very cheap if you live like a local and not like a tourist

Yeah me and mate were talking about going for a few weeks.
But i recon the flights would be the most expensive thing. around £400 ?

Flights are expensive but hotels can be really cheap if you book far in advance. Despite what most people think, it is safe to go out at night.

been 3 times, usually do 4 nights Bangkok and then on to beach resort for about 10 nights

generally cost is about £3-3500 for the 2 of us and then about £2000 spending money

flights on own are about £600 economy direct and £500 with one of middle east carriers ( with a stop )

I'm sure others could do it cheaper though but we generally don't scrimp too much

It's weird, but I've found booking flights and one night in Bangkok on arrival and one before flying home via expedia is cheaper than just booking the flights. I usually stay in the Ni Lert in Bangkok.

Went for a month in February
best thing in the world
spent about £1,500 excluding flights, lived like a king

Was there for four days in October on the way back from New Zealand.

Cost me around 1k excluding flights but then I did get a huge suite with my own jacuzzi, seprate entrance, living room, huge bedroom, kitchen, etc.

Also bought another suit and five tailored shirts.

Did some awesome awesome things, happy to post pics if you're interested.

you can get flights for between 350 - 500,

budget abetween £20 a day cheap.

do not take a tuk tuk, take a cab if you must, they cost the same and are aircon. Or take the bus therats fantastic and very cheap.

Make sure you goto the MBK centre in BKK.

stay here -> http://www.happyhouseguesthouse.com/

cheap clean, and well situated. although ask for a room with a balcony,t hey are a bit more expesnsive but worth it

and while your in bangkok, goto Dressforsucess

I went to Thailand from October 28th-15th of November. The flight was a little over £500. Because I only spent 2 days in Bangkok and the rest of it up in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, I spent about £230 over the whole trip.

Just spent 3 weeks in Thailand, just got back and missed the problems at the airport by one day!

4 days in Bangkok, floating market, tiger sanctuary etc then the rest in Pataya. If your single then 100% you have to go to Pataya! Dont just spend all your time in walking street either as other bars outside the main walk are just as good(and cheaper).

But my god the women, 'hey sexy man'. Hell yeah.
