at the last houseshare when the girl moved out the toilet paper consumption in the downstairs communal loo went right down and... predictably, she never bought any paper for downstairs, just the one next to her room!

in a new houseshare now with a female present and paper is going down fast...

is this a front and back thing?

what is it?

Nah, women in general use a hell of a lot more bog paper. Don't forget after "normal" uses they'll use bog paper for other things. I lived with a girl that used to use it to wipe her hands dry (didn't trust towel, probably a good thing...).

We have the same problem in our house. 3 girls, and 3 guys. On top of that, a couple of the girls have boyfriends who seem to think "because it's free I'll use as much as I can". One of the guys has gone through a couple of rolls in a 3 day visit before :/
