Hey, well my third set of Sennheiser CX300's just broke, so I'm looking for some new ones but want something different for my iPod.

I like the bassy sound of the CX300's and have up to £30 to spend.

I usually listen to drum and bass and bass heavy music.

Any ideas?

You must be absolutely rinsing those headphones :| How long before each pair breaks?

I've just had my second pair delivered after a year of use with my old ones, had to put up with the normal iPod earphones for a day and it was horrible :(

I'd always suggest the CX300's for cheap bassy earphones...

I've been through 3 pairs of them as well, the left one always stopped working :\

Personally I just ordered some of the creative alternatives, only about £8 so I'm expecting them to be about the same as the CX300's.

I bought a pair of Sony MDR-EX71SLB, i'm not a huge audiophile but as far as i'm concerned they're the best earphones i've ever used, had em for 4 years now too. They look battered due to living in my pocket 5 days of the week, but still work flawlessly.

I bought em for £25 back in the day, i see they can be had for less than £15 now.

im a audiopile on a budget, and havent come across anything as good as these at the price their going at. im on my 3rd pair.

they are crap earphones lol. they get slated in the net for good reason. the ex85's are still available for £20 and are in a completely different league to the 71's.
