lol it was fun though, I'm only use to playing with ken/ryu thought I would try sagat aswel ;) definately get some more games on soon though :)

Im sure someone will come along soon and leather me lol, add me guys if anyone wants a game but I'm offline right now so just post on here first.
 
Man that title screen music brings back some memories! Forgotten just how good this game is, havent played it for years, well worth 1300 points.

Not very happy with the performance of my HORI fighting stick EX2 though. The stick itself feels really loose and I'm having trouble nailing the fireball motion which I would rarely miss in the arcades. Anyone else find this with their stick?

Also, whats the difference between HD Remix and Classic Arcade modes?

HD Remix has balance changes, for instance Balrogs jump off the wall claw attack knocks people to the floor in classic (which is abit op) while in HD remix it doesnt.

Also the commands are easier for some people in remix.
 
Sorry if it has already been asked, but what's Internet play like on this? Is it like playing local multiplayer or are there lag issues etc? Asking that, i guess it's just down to the connection of whoever's hosting the game right?
 
Gah the amount of times i have got my opponent on mutliplayer to a fraction of a bar for them to turn around and do some 1 trick ponies i cant defend is beyond me.

Starting to really **** me off this game. The amount of players online who button mash is insane.

anyone got a guide somewhere to make your own 360 joystick. Wouldnt mind having a go if it'd save me a few bob.

Probably better off getting a decent Hori as they tend to use Sanwa parts - sad thing is that I think the EX2 is the only 360 joypad...

That website seems pretty overpriced once you start adding in quality components - though I really wouldnt know what custom arcade sticks go for - just comparing it to prices Ive seen for Hori sticks...

Aye been looking at the 360 arcade sticks and their's only the EX2. Im holding out for a SF4 ltd edition if they make one.

The PS3 Hori stick looks a lot better, just too sad they dont make it for the xbox.
 
I know they are making some SF4 pad/sticks and I assume (at least) one would be for the X360...

Unfortunately they only seem to make them when a fighting game is coming out, which makes them seemingly difficult to get outside of that - Ive got some funny looks in game shops when Ive asked for one of these...

I just got this game this evening for Xbox. I have to say I absolutely love it and its great to play with my Hori fighting stick. I have loved Street fighter 2 since I first played it on an arcade machine in the local leisure centre 16 or 17 odd years ago and its great they are still improving it it to this day.

I have been playing online but it seems that people always choose Ken or Ryu. However I enjoy those people with Mr Honda :p

On the single playe mode, Akuma seems impossibe to beat though.

I have 2 Horis and I find them perfect for this game solid and easy to pull off moves, I have a feeling if they do a CAPCOM stick just like the SC4/VF5 stick a Hori with some stickers in the box

Loving both of mine and finding I use them for a lot of the XBLA arcade games making it much more fun for me

try playing akuma online, i realised where i've been going wrong. Ken was ok but Akuma > all now imo.

doing jump hydouken is awsome and he's got the best finisher imo, easiest execution in the game.
 
Everybody does seem to play as Ken or Ryu and sometimes Akuma which is just boring I think. Akuma's Raging Demon move is good though.

The characters are all fairly well balanced now and I find it tougher to play against people who play as other characters as they have the element of surprise.

I just play as E.Honda and he seems very capable. I am loving this game :)

I have played quite a few online games and lag has just not been issue at all. I hadn't even thought about it until I read your question. Its a huge huge improvement over Street fighter 2 Hyper Fighting on XBLA and an improvement over Soul Calibur which I found quite bad.

Why won't Akuma die!!

The rest of the game is easy until i get to Akuma then i just get ***** everytime by him :( I'm tempted to lose a match on the run up to him next time just so i face bison instead but i want my sheng long achievement! lol

Does anyone have any tips on beating Akuma?

The only way i've managed is to not slam the d-pad but manage the amount of pressure i use when changing. Still doesnt make a blind bit of differance but was better than slamming the d-pad.

any chance he can make me one ;D
 
I'll ask him tomorrow, if you supply a wired/wireless pad (Wired prob easier) and the buttons/stick or the money for them and the mdf he uses plus a wee bit for his time, if you really want one, lob me a mail or msn inv and i'll see what I can do :)

Do you have a picture or site of stuff he has made before?

Sounds interesting. Thinking about it, probably not that hard a feat when all you are doing is transferring buttons and pcb from an existing pad, but pictures would be cool if you have any!!

TimBrad - you wouldnt mind seeing if hed do one for the PS3 - feel bad to ask, but having a hard time finding the PS3 stick without importing the sucker...
